We believe that education is one of the most important foundations for helping children become confident and self-reliant. Every child in our care is enrolled in a formal school, and we ensure they receive the support they need to succeed academically.
In addition to regular schooling, children receive extra coaching and tuition at the Home. Special educators and dedicated volunteers help strengthen their learning skills and encourage participation in extracurricular activities. Students are grouped according to their grade levels, with teachers providing guidance from Standard 1 to Standard 10, while younger children benefit from tailored early-learning support.

Ms. Amberly Fernandes is a qualified and dedicated clinical psychologist who regularly visits the Home to provide counseling and guidance to the children. She meets with them four times a week, helping them navigate emotional challenges and supporting their overall mental and personal development.
In addition to working with the children, she has also initiated a counseling program for the staff at the Children’s Home. Her commitment and generosity are deeply valued, and we are grateful for her support. At Valentina’s Little Heaven, those who work with us are more than staff—they are individuals who serve with sincerity, compassion, and dedication.
With the help of teachers and the environment as the third teacher, students
have opportunities to confidently take risks.

Health is one of our priority areas. We conduct regular blood tests and health checkups for all the children at the Home. A medical file is maintained for each child, and their BMI (Body Mass Index) is carefully monitored and updated. Blood tests are conducted with the support of Trinity Diagnostics to ensure the children’s health is consistently tracked.
Art itself has therapeutic value, helping improve mental, emotional, and physical health. Activities such as drawing allow children to express their thoughts and emotions in a safe and creative way. Through various art and creative programs, we encourage children to explore their talents, communicate their feelings, and grow in a positive and supportive environment.
We encourage children to develop creativity and communication skills through activities such as slogan writing. Using rhythmic or rhyming language and positive, powerful words, children learn to create catchy and meaningful messages that express their ideas clearly and memorably.
The rhythmic dance steps help improve balance, coordination, agility, and overall body flexibility. By alternating between high- and low-intensity movements, children build stamina and improve their physical endurance. Regular participation also helps strengthen muscles and supports overall fitness and wellbeing.
Your support helps provide shelter, education, healthcare, and opportunities for children to grow into confident and hopeful individuals.
Picnics give children a refreshing break from their daily routine while promoting physical activity and social interaction. They create opportunities for children to bond, explore nature, and enjoy time together in a relaxed environment. These outings help improve mood, reduce stress, and build confidence while encouraging creativity and curiosity through play and outdoor experiences.
Children are encouraged to follow healthy daily routines such as brushing their teeth, washing their hands for at least 20 seconds, trimming their nails, and keeping themselves clean. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, we have continued to emphasize hygiene by ensuring children wash their hands regularly, drink warm water, maintain clean surroundings and wardrobes, and practice good personal hygiene every day.
